Regional Aviation System
Plan
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) has the highest concentration of
public and private airports in the nation. It is also the fastest growing
area in Alaska, attracting new residents and new airports within this
rapidly developing region. The MSB wants to determine how best to encourage
growth in aviation and promote aviation safety and compatible development.
The MSB Regional Aviation System Plan (RASP) will invite the public
and the aviation community to help address these issues.
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough has hired DOWL Engineers to work on the
RASP over the next 18 months. For more information about the project,
